HOW WE WORK
Our Process
When the goal is designing a space you’ll be thrilled to call part of your home, it’s important to make sure every step of the process is done right.
As we work with you on bringing your vision for your home to life, we’ll always be on hand to answer questions
about what happens next and to clarify the complexity of planning, building regs and the construction process.
Initial Free Consultation
Each process begins with understanding what you want from the project. What are your hopes for your space? What are the challenges you’re trying to overcome? By getting to know each other, we’ll soon see whether we’re a good fit.
Measured Survey
Once you’re happy to move forward, we’ll kick off the project by measuring your home or plot and detailing it in accurate drawings, to ensure that there’s no disconnect between your dream design and your current space.
Concepting & Design
Once we’re set on what you’re looking for from your new space, we’ll get to work on exploring design concepts. We’ll usually present different options for you to choose from, in colour-coded plans so all the changes are easy to understand.
We can also produce drawings in high contrast colours to aid with readability and accessibility.
Planning Permission
Not every design will need planning permission. If yours does, we’ll advise you on what you’ll need, prepare all the necessary drawings and reports for your application and liaise with the planning officer on your behalf.
Building Regulations
Most building works will need some form of building regulation approval. We’ll liaise with the building control inspector to make sure your designs are always compliant, and prepare all of our planning drawings with technical details to smooth the building process.
Models & 3D Visuals
Sometimes you need more than floor plans to bring your development to life. We provide detailed 3D Building Information Modelling for all projects, and can also create photo-realistic CGI models and walkthroughs to help you better picture what we’re planning.
