Does a greenbelt property need special planning?
Being in a greenbelt or conservation area doesn’t mean you can’t build an extension but it does mean you have to go a little further to satisfy planning permission.
Guidance on greenbelt extensions is a lot stricter to ensure builds don’t have a negative effect on the surrounding environment. That means you might have less freedom on building materials and design choices, and will likely have to budget for a more expensive build.
